Gary opened on East Lake Road because the neighborhood needed a store that stayed open late and knew your name. The pepperoni balls started as a way to use the dough left over from pizza night. Forty-nine years later they’re the reason people show up — and the store still closes on Mondays so the family can have a day.

Doors open. Groceries, cold pop, a small deli case.
